Introducing Benelli and Keeway

KUALA LUMPUR: Benelli Keeway Motorcycle Sdn Bhd (BKM), with its partner, QianJiang Group (QJ) of China, has unveiled five motorcycle models under two of its latest brands, Keeway and Benelli, for the local market.

BKM chief executive officer On Hai Swee said the company plans to launch another four motorcycle models this year and open its flagship concept store here this September.

"The showroom cum service centre will carry out strong branding and visual identity, to provide the best attention and support to our valued dealers and customers. This will help the market to appreciate our brands better," he said in a joint statement.

The five new models are Benelli TRe1130K, Benelli TnT899, Keeway Dorado 250, Keeway TX200G and Keeway RKV200G.

BKM, established in November 2010, is optimistic that once the Keeway and Benelli brands and their models are successfully positioned in Malaysia, it will be ready for export and work towards making Malaysia QJ's regional base.

QJ, one of the largest motorcycle producers in China, is committed to the Malaysian market and will be providing all necessary support to BKM to ensure the successful positioning of Keeway and Benelli brand in the local market.

BKM, which has its own facility in Bukit Beruntung, has been given the exclusive rights to manufacture and assemble Keeway and Benelli motorcycle models in Malaysia with engine capacity of 200cc and above.

Keeway is a European brand formed 13 years ago while Benelli is one of Italy's oldest motorcycle manufacturers established in 1911.

For the debut ceremony, BKM has unveiled five models, Benelli TRe1130K, Benelli TnT899, Keeway Dorado 250, Keeway TX200G and Keeway RKV200G.

All BKM products will be available from motorcycle dealers nationwide. The motorcycles come with a one-year warranty and free servicing (terms and conditions apply) up to 10,000km with Bike Assist for owner's hotline number 1800-88-3811.

Megelli motorcycles was founded in the United Kingdom by the Managing Director of SLD UK Ltd, Barry Hall. Megelli Motorcycles made their debut at the Milan EICMA exhibition in November 2007 and are now currently sold in over 40 countries in Europe, Asia, Australia, Africa, and South America.

With access to specialist ‘virtual’ motorcycle design centres and established UK vehicle production and engineering facilities, Megelli bikes are designed and engineered in the UK. Using new bespoke tooling for the majority of components, and components sourced from a mix of European and Asian companies, the majority of final assembly is in a modern bespoke facility in Asia.

Megelli remains forward thinking and continues to develop and produce products to meet an ever demanding and expanding customer base. This includes assembly facilities in several countries to meet specific requirements of individual markets.

CFMOTO 650 – China made 650cc bike for RM26,800

This CFMOTO 650 bike is made in China bike with 650cc displacement. The headlamp have a resemblance like the Suzuki B-King. The price for this 650cc at RM26,800 makes it very irresistable to not take it as a consideration when you are in the market for it. Some might say about the quality of the bikes made in China, but it seems that they are now getting better with the quality of it.
