I need some opinions about GE-13, there is something I'm wondering about. Are we allowed to discuss the topic here?

I'll make it short and straight-forward without lengthy elaboration.

So the scenario is, I moved to XX constituency in 1994, and it was represented by Party A. Had nothing against Party A, quite neutral about it.

Then in 2008, I moved to YY constituency and it was won by Party B which I did not really favour.

Last week, my vote went for Party C - which is my first preference.

Now if I was given a choice, I would like Party A to represent the constituency I live in, while having Party C to govern the country. I won't bother you guys with my reasoning - but the point is, choice has to be made between an individual and a party (or in my case, between two parties) - but since my one vote could make a difference in a bigger scale, I chose to vote for "my government" rather than "my representative".

My question: what is your opinion of the election result for Lumut constituency? Do you think people voted for the individual or the party?

yup mostly along party lines...and were quite disciplined in it.

ooo specific to the constituency...then I think both though I am not an expert for the area. Double whammy since I heard since the winning candidate is a popular Ex-Admiral and along party lines to reject MCA.
