guys,my rank says staff sergeant but why does it have the insignia of a sergeant major?also there are no staff sergeants in the maple leaf brigade..ngehehehhe

you're not in the malaysian army,you're in the canadian army.welcome to the suck brah...

seriously,

because this site uses US army/Canadian army rank-insignia system for lower ORs not british ones.privates in north american armies get a chevron after completing all of their training(canada) /completing 6 months of service(US army)

duhhh......


NATO grade OR-3 for ze canada / OR-2 if you like the US army

you're now a Pte(T)/PV2.you have more responsibilities but have the same pay and respect as a Pte(B)/PV1,congrats.


on another note,why does this site uses a mixture of ranks and insignias from the US army,british army and navy?

secondly,why use canadian army rank insignia for OF-1 to OF-4 but british insignia for OF-6 and then to american insignia for OF-7 and beyond?
