In memories of Shah Alam Racing Circuit or familiar known as Batu 3 Circuit. The 3.5 km circuit have 14 corners with 9 right corners and 5 left corners. The back straight length about 900 metres easily can reach 190km/h. Turn 9 or other names callled 'KING' was one of the most high speed corner in Malaysia racing circuit history. Lucas or Makro corner was the 'fun' and challenging too.

Plenty of GREAT RACERS in Malaysia was born from there....i.e. Alex Yoong, the late Jimmy Low, Eddie Liew, Tengku Djan Ley, Faidzil Alang, Tommy Lee, Sharjihan Ghouse Munir, Faizal Hakimi, Eric Yeo, Admi Shahrul, Boy Wong Yew Choong, Keifli Othman, me too & etc.

Of course we wish to have that kind of circuit again in Malaysia. Especially, quite near to the town. The decision of Selangor State Government to demolished the circuit in 2001 was really 'hurt' most of 'real racing doraiba' in Malaysia.

History
It was opened in 1968 with first Grand Prix, won by Indonesian Hengkie Iriawan on eleven-in Ford. Shah Alam Circuit remained venue of Malaysian Grand Prix in Malaysia from 1968 until 1982, whereby the starter field consisted this Grand Prix alternately of vehicles of the Formula Atlantic, Formula Pacific or Formula 2. The last Malaysian Grand Prix race held in Shah Alam was held for Formula Holden in 1995.

The circuit was closed in 1977 after an accident killed six children, although it later reopened after improvements of fences and guard rails around the trackwere carried out.

In 1985 the track were renewed from 3.38 km increase to 3.693 km and additionally the curve 11 was established. In the same year, the first international racing is the sports car world championship won by Jacky Ickx on Porsche 962C.

The circuit hosted races in the 1990 and 1991 Superbike World Championship, and from 1991 to 1997 it hosted the Malaysian motorcycle Grand Prix. With altogether four victories until 1997, Mick Doohan scored the most wins on the circuit. The motorcycle Grand Prix was later moved to the Johor Circuit and to Sepang International Circuit.

In the year 2003 the circuit was sold by Selangor state government to a property developer, it then torn off and been develop with a housing project name D'Kayangan.

* No. of Pits: 57 units, 42 units concrete pit (22' x 17'), 15 units wooden pits (22' x 7')
* Spectator capacity: Covered grandstand - 8000, Uncovered grandstand - 18,000
* Track length: 3.38km / 3.69km
* No. of Turns: 14. Left -4, Right -10
* Straights: 3. The longest straight was 600 meters.
* Gate Entrances: 3

rasanya pasal kereta race terbabas, langgar pagar n terus ke penonton... biasaler, dulu pagar reinforce x kuat... wall tayar pun kurang digunakan...

Aku teringat masa heboh2 saturday nite racing, ramai bebudak moto masa tu demam yamaha RXZ.... bila abis aja event penuhlah balai polis trafik sek 11 shah alam orang buat repot moto hilang.

saturday nite race nih ada drag race kan, aku igt sepupu aku ada setup satu kereta kancil nama "Dugong Si Tenang"

skalu kancil ni drag ngan prelude dari SG
waktu drag tu kereta tu bleh stop tgh2 lane tu tunggu prelude tgh race, dah dekat baru jalan balik

salah satu sebab kenapa Bt3 Speedway di tutup adalah kerana kewujudan litar F1 Sepang.. jarak di antara dua-dua litar ni tak laa jauh sangat.. gomen nak concentrate aktiviti lumba kereta / motor kat satu litar sahaja..

yg dekat tu jarak antara dua litar tu, tapi.. jarak sirkit Bt3 LAGI dekat ngan KL berbanding litar F1...

mungkin ada hikmahnya juga penutupan sirkit ni... sedar atau tidak, sekarang ni kawasan sirkit Bt3 dekat dengan kawasan perumahan.. Seksyen 13 Shah Alam.. dekat ngan stadium shah alam.. ni bukan kawasan perumahan yang DIBINA atas bekas tanah sirkit Bt3 tau, tapi kawasan perumahan berdekatan... untuk jangka panjang, ia mungkin boleh mendatangkan rasa kurang selesa penduduk kawasan tersebut...

1. entry fee utk bike n kete mahal
2. event x byk
3. crowd sikit
4. management kurang friendly
5. makan MAHAL gilos, kalah KFC

BTSC :
1. entry fee murah, mat rempit pun mampu byr
2. event every weekend
3. crowd overwhelming
4. management mmg friendly
6. makan rege standard kedai biasa

yang tu mmg Kawan tak nafikan laaa.. walaupun Kawan x pernah sampai kat F1 sepang lagi... tapi.. dari member2 yg pernah duty kat sana masa F1.. tempat tu mmg mahal... takat burger ngan air mineral pun dah RM20++.. tu bukan makan burger tapi makan ati namanya...

nak buat camana tuan Ven.. dah nama litar tu pun F1.. mesti ado kene bayar some RM nak dapat title tu kan...

betul bro, ramai geng2 kalangan bawahan mcm kita nih dh malu nak masuk Sepang coz dh jadi mcm tempat org2 berada jerk... love the old BTSC...

p/s : BTSC akan mengadakan gath utk rakan2 BTSC, tarikh dan tempat belum ditetapkan lagi...
