seriusly.. secara peribadi Kawan rasa tak semua pesawat C130 tu yg fully operational.. harapnyer aper yg ada sekarang masih mampu tampung keperluan operasi tudm khasnyer & atm umumnyer..

p/s : dari tiga C130 yg terlibat dlm ops bawa balik rakyat malaysia dari indonesia tu, dilaporkan dlm berita tv yg sebuah pesawat tersebut direct dari tudm labuan..

140 return from Timor Leste after serving six months
2010/11/11

KUCHING: They made the country proud during their service in Timor Leste.
Yesterday, they were awarded the Solidarity Medal by the Timor Leste government for their service to the country for the past six months.

The 140 men of the United Nations Integrated Mission in Timor Leste Malaysian Force Police Unit (UNMIT MAL-FPU) arrived at the Kuching International Airport on a chartered UN flight at 2.20pm yesterday.

Led by commanding officer Deputy Superintendent M. Indraraja, the 140 men stood tall among their peers as they were received by Internal Security and Public Order director Datuk Khalid Abu Bakar and Sarawak police commissioner Datuk Mohmad Salleh.

During their six-month tour, the men from the Sarawak Brigade were tasked to guard the country's Presidential Palace and the prime minister's residence from sporadic riots.

"Riots do happen from time to time, but they were not as bad as our first tour three years ago. Even so, we were always ready to respond to any situation there."

Indraraja, who was on his second tour as the commanding officer to Timor Leste, said the situation was getting better now as life was returning to normal.

"We can see businesses coming up and people are going out of their houses freely. The country is slowly getting back on its feet," he said, adding that the men feared dengue more than armed attacks there.

Khalid said Malaysian police always performed their best when serving overseas.

"This shows that our community policing strategy works there. And we have never failed to impress the UN with our professionalism. I hope these men will maintain their professionalism when they are back in their units here."

This is the ninth Malaysian police group serving under UNMIT and the second tour for the Sarawak General Operations Force brigade.

The men were relieved by the 10th group from the Sabah Brigade who left for Timor Leste from Kota Kinabalu on Tuesday.

lama betul misi PDRM-UNMIT kat Timor Leste.. dari sekitar 2006 sampai sekrg.. pengurusan PDRM mesti dah expert hal TL.
