hmmm satu yang misterius..ada orang reply dalam posting blog eden yang dia pernah nampak kenderaan jenis DUKW dalam perbarisan merdeka kat dataran era 70'an..wa tak ingat dan memang tak tengok kut fasal time tu wa selalu pigi perbarisan Ipoh, so tak tengok kat TV...cuma dia kata tak lama lepas tu dah tak ada dah..

tak taula kut ada old timer sini perasan, tapi nak tanya dalam war reserves kita ada tak orang nampak...

yalah war reserves kita macam siri TV Warehouse 13 gak, macam2 menda tak disangka ada yang kita tak pernah fikir kita ada..

Hmm aku cek DUKW memang pernah service kat Malaysia tapi bawah Tentera British. Adakah ada yang dihadiahkan kepada kita selepas mereka keluar dari Asia Timur. Fasal tu ada dalam perbarisan Merdeka era itu?

Britain deployed DUKWs to Malaya during the Malayan Emergency of 1948-60. Many were redeployed to Borneo during the Indonesia–Malaysia confrontation of 1962-66. The Royal Marines still use a small number of these vehicles for training purposes in Scotland.

eden rasa bukan white duck..tapi kelabu..

The gray DUKWs seem to have been limited to the Royal Marines during the war, but the British Army's DUKWs in Malaya bore the same color scheme in 1966.

Terimakasih minz for foto reference, tak pernah tau pun. Tapi soalan sekarang, TDM atau ATM pernah operate ke bawah colors kita?

ducw ni paling popular masa WW2, digunakan masa Dday.....untuk pendaratan amfibi....tapi x sangka TDM pon penah memilikinya...

entah kalau ikut alpha kat malaysia kurang 3 ketul sudah ada dioperasi dek swasta..aku rasa kalau sewa sat pun ok..kalau JPAM beli buat stok pun ok fasal swasta dah siap pakai, jadi spares patut ada..

ingat lagi banjir beasar kat utara 2, 3 tahun lepas
TDM siap pakai Sibmas tuk ops mindahkan mangsa banjir
tapi tu laaa kan.. kalu ader suku sakat keturunan DUKW ni
kengkurangnya tak ler bergantung harap kat aset tempur TDM sgt

errr.. tapi promo yg baik tuk anak-anak yg berminat nak masuk sojar

Wa rasa itik dah praktikal untuk ops menyelamat.. saiz terlalu besar kalau nak masuk celah-celah pokok getah untuk ops menyelamat di kawasan luar bandar, takpun kawasan berbukit-bukau. ladang kelapa sawit etc.. belum lagi kira faktor Malaysia nie terlalu subur banyak semak samun.
