Any engagements with any intruders back then? (The intruders were already in our backyard then.. the Brits).. Yet, Malay patriots like Dato' Maharaja Lela and many more were being considered infidels by our own... (a shot in the leg of our 'colourful' history).

Merujuk perkara ini jika dilihat dari sejarah Kesultanan Johor sendiri, Sultan Johor kedua, Sultan Sir Ibrahim adalah seorang Sultan yang mempunyai kekayaan peribadi yang terlalu banyak. Baginda juga terkenal kerana kemurahan hatinya dengan menghulurkan bantuan dengan tangan terbuka.

Dan anda juga perlu tahu bahawa Kesultanan Johor sememangnya mempunyai kekayaan mereka sendiri seperti Sultan Sir Ibrahim, moyang Sultan Johor yang sekarang merupakan salah seorang lelaki terkaya di dunia satu masa dahulu.

Di Tanah Melayu pada tahun 1927, baginda mendermakan $25,000 setiap satu kepada Perak, Pahang, Kelantan, dan Terengganu untuk usaha-usaha bantuan banjir yang keseluruhan berjumlah $100,000. Baginda dan kerajaan Johor pernah menderma 16 pesawat kepada pihak British semasa Perang Dunia I dan menderma AS$12 juta kepada usaha perang British semasa Perang Dunia II.

Dengan bantuan kewangan daripada Baginda, Britain menggunakan sebahagian daripada wang itu untuk memasang tiga senjata api (The Monster Guns) berukuran 15-inci yang terbesar di luar Britain yang dikenali sebagai Johor Battery di Changi untuk pertahanan Singapura pada masa itu.Fasa pemerintahan baginda adalah satu kebanggaan bagi rakyat Johor.
