Johor FA slam Zakaria Rahim for Safee Sali comments
Zack Rahim was lambasted by the Johor FA in an official statement yesterday.
Nov 13, 2013 8:00:00 AM
In a press statement released earlier today, Johor FA accused Zakaria Rahim of wanting to make monetary profit out of transfer negotiations involving Safee Sali
Johor FA have officially released a media statement, critizing the recent comments made by Safee Sali's agent, Zakaria Rahim on the Malaysian forward's future.
Zakaria had apparently said that Safee Sali should move to play in a league abroad in order to save his career; something that did not go well with the Johor FA.
As a result, they went on to criticize Zakaria for his comments and also revealed the fact that Zakaria attempted to make money out of Safee Sali's loan deal with Johor Darul Takzim earlier this year.
An excerpt from the media statement reads: "We would like to refute the statement made by Zakaria Rahim with regards to Safee Sali and why he needs to move abroad if he loves his career. Players within this country should be careful with people like this, as they are constantly interested in making money out of transfer deals that happens within this country.
" When we wanted to sign Safee, Zakaria demanded RM150,000 as the middle man in the deal. We ultimately rejected the demand as we were dealing directly with Safee himself.
" Thus, Zakaria's recent statements makes it seem as though he was never keen about Safee playing for Johor Darul Takzim since he could not profit from the deal. "
Safee Sali spent the 2013 season with Johor Darul Takzim but he has been released ahead of the 2014 season. As a result, Safee is likely to return to his parent club, Arema FC in the Indonesian league.

Re: Bola Cafe: MALAYSIA!
From Darul Takzim to Darul Ta'zim
By Jassmine Shadiqe

IN order not to confuse their fans and to enhance their prowess in the M-League, the Johor Football Association (JFA) has rebranded its two teams.
The letter " k " has been taken out of their Darul Takzim team, who play in the Super League. They will henceforth be known as Johor Darul Ta'zim.
The state's second team, who played in the Premier League this year under the name of " Johor FA " , have been renamed as Johor Darul Ta'zim II.
JFA president Tunku Ismail Sultan Ibrahim said the name change would enhance the teams' prowess and avoid confusion among their fans.
Tunku Ismail pointed out that fans, at times, assumed that the Johor FA side were a club instead of the team representing the state in the Premier League.
He made it clear that both Darul Ta'zim and Darul Ta'zim II are the state teams, but Darul Ta'zim II will have an extra role as a platform to develop talented players for Darul Ta'zim.
Speaking at a press conference at his palace in Istana Bukit Pelangi yesterday, Tunku Ismail said both Darul Ta'zim and Darul Ta'zim II will remain under the Johor FA's management.
Among the players that will represent Darul Ta'zim II next season are Zaquan Adha Abd Radzak, and recent Singapore signings Shahril Ishak and Baihakki Khaizan. Former national player Azmi Mohamed will head Darul Ta'zim II.
Darul Ta'zim will see their manager-cum-chief coach Cesar Ferrando Jimenez from Spain, in charge of the stars like Pablo Aimar, Braulio Rodriguez, Norshahrul Idlan Talaha, Hariss Harun and Safiq Rahim.
Tunku Ismail said Safee Sali has been demoted to Darul Ta'zim II, but the player has yet to decide whether to stay on.
" He asked Johor FA for a few days to make a decision, and we granted him that. If he decides to stay, he will play for Darul Ta'zim II. If he wants to go... we wish him all the best, " Tunku Ismail said.
When asked about midfielder Amirulhadi Zainal, who reportedly signed a contract extension with Pahang for another two years despite agreeing to sign with Darul Ta'zim, Tunku Ismail said Amirulhadi had expressed interest to join Darul Ta'zim next season.
" If he has extended his contract with Pahang, then he (Amirulhadi) should honour it... we will not buy out his contract. But as far as I am concerned, he said he wants to play with us... let's see, " Tunku Ismail said, adding that several players are known to use Darul Ta'zim as a bargaining chip to demand a better salary from their respective FAs.
" Sometimes even though Johor FA did not approach the players, they told their bosses that we did, hoping to get an increment.
" We don't mind, because it helps upgrade the standard of football in the country. Johor FA has a reputation as a stable and professional association that aims to upgrade the standard of football, merely because of the love of the game. "
