Setelah idea mengenai kereta sport (codename Proton Ultimate-tapi jadi Lotus Europa) dan PM5 (gambar di atas) sebelum ini tidak dapat direalisasikan atas faktor-faktor tertentu saya rasa Proton perlu menghidupkan semula projek ini. Pada zaman Tengku Mahaleel dioarang nak jadikan kereta tu sebagai Elise versi Proton tapi faktor kos harga jualan & model sperti ini adalah “niche market”, sukar perkara ini menjadi realiti. Cadangan saya ialah jadikan ia sebagai kereta sport bajet/low cost yang berharga kurang dari RM100 ribu.

Proton boleh membangunkan model ini menggunakan platform dari Satria Neo (kalau boleh “upgrade”), enjin Campro Turbo, gearbox manual 6mt/cvt & benchmark model ini sekurang2nya dengan Mazda RX8. Tidak perlu gunakan composite material untuk kurangkan kos & jadikan model ni 2+2 seater yang lebih praktikal.

Tujuan utama dia bukan untuk jadikan ia sebagai supercar macam Ferrari, Porsche & lain2 tapi adalah untuk membuktikan keupayaan kejuruteraan & membangunkan kereta sport pada harga rendah yang mempunyai enjin berkuasa & pengendalian yang mantap. Saya pasti kereta ini boleh dikategorikan sebagai “Global Bajet Sport Car” dan mampu melonjakkan lagi nama Proton di arena global.

tapi lampu belakang bulat2 ni soooo 90s. Skang ni trend squarish/line dgn space kosong tengah2... macam aston martin/jag (camry pon pakat tiru...)

diorang ni sebenarnyer kreatif.. tak caya? proton pernah buat pertandingan internal tuk design n buat kereta baru dgn gunakan chasis sedia ada + barang2 lebihan dari stock kereta proton.. hasil 4, 5 team tu lawa wooo.. takda rupa kereta proton pun.. mmg org akan ingat kereta import..

citer ni ada mags tau sisipan akhbar cover dulu..
