mungkin ramai yang tertanya-tanya apakah MRT, bawah nih ada detail skit :

MY Rapid Transit (MRT) is a proposed three-line Mass Rapid Transit system in Klang Valley/ Kuala Lumpur. The project was announced in December 2010 by the Government of Malaysia, and was launched by Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak on 8 July 2011.

The MRT will be integrated with the LRT, Monorail, KTM Komuter and intra/ inter-city buses and will help alleviate traffic congestion by increasing the number of people using public transport in the city centre. When operational, the system targets to carry 400,000 commuters daily.

The first line of this project is the Sungai Buloh – Kajang Line (SBK Line), which stretches 51km and have 31 stations.

Works on the MRT SBK line has begun in July 2011 and is expected to be completed by 2017. - [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]

Semua yang dilakukan adalah untuk kesenangan penduduk setempat di masa akan datang. Dalam tempoh sepuluh tahun mendatang, jalanraya akan menjadi lebih sesak. Dengan adanya MRT / LRT bukahan sahaja kesesakan dapat dikurangkan, malah pencemaran alam juga berkurangan.

Pusat lokomotif ASEAN mula operasi di Batu Gajah 2014

Pusat Keretapi ASEAN CSR Zhuzhou Electric Locomotive Company Ltd bernilai RM400 juta yang akan dibina di Batu Gajah, Perak berkeupayaan mengeluarkan 100 gerabak keretapi dan membaik pulih 150 gerabak setahun apabila ia beroperasi pada Ogos 2014.
Naib Presiden Pelaburannya, Luo Chongfu, berkata selain menempatkan institut kecemerlangan, pusat yang dibangunkan untuk memenuhi keperluan permintaan lokomotif di rantau ASEAN itu akan turut meliputi semua skop kerja termasuk pengeluaran, pemasangan, ujian, baik pulih dan penambahbaikan pelbagai jenis keretapi.
“Fasa pertama membabitkan pelaburan RM200 juta dengan aktiviti permulaan berkaitan Projek Transit Aliran Ringan (LRT) Ampang, sebelum skopnya diperluaskan kepada projek lain di Malaysia dan rantau ASEAN.

“Kemudahan di Batu Gajah bakal menjadi satu daripada kemudahan terpenting CSR di luar China,” katanya pada taklimat perkembangan terkini penubuhan pusat kereta api itu di Kuala Lumpur, semalam.

CSR adalah pembekal 38 set keretapi elektrik enam gerabak KTM Bhd bagi projek MyKomuter, selain terbabit dalam projek LRT Ampang.

Ia juga antara pembida bagi projek MyRapid Transit (MRT) Sungai Buloh-Kajang.

Ditanya sama ada keputusan menubuhkan pusat itu ada kena mengena dengan lobi syarikat mendapatkan kontrak bagi projek MRT Sungai Buloh-Kajang, Chongfu menjelaskan keputusan dibuat mengambil kira Malaysia sebagai pasaran penting CSR di rantau ASEAN.

all the tenant fear BB plaza will be demolish. mengatakan UDA tidak menjamin nasib mereka dengan sedaya upaya mereka.

Anyway the issue is a past now.

when it was announced that it would not be demolished to make way for a My Rapid Transit (MRT) station, as reported earlier, the tenants were not the only ones who heaved a sigh of relief.

However, the sidewalk cafe operators in front of the plaza had to move to make way for the underground BB Sentral monorail station.

As much as city folk would like to have the MRT integrated into the monorail station, many of us would have been sad if BB Plaza had to be demolished. Maybe a refurbishment is what the 33-year-old building needs so that it will fit in nicely with the coming MRT services.
